I spent the majority of my life living in Massachusetts; born in Newton, lived in Wellesley and Needham as a youngster, graduating from Needham High School in 1960.  Went to Katherine Gibbs School in Boston for 2 years and then to work at ITEK in Lexington.  Married in 1963 and in 1966 had my first child, Matthew and in 1969 my second son, John.  My children grew up in Chelmsford; in 1977 we moved to Libertyville, IL; I got a job working in downtown Chicago at DRI.

In 1979 got divorced and moved back to Massachusetts with my 2 boys to Dennis (Cape Cod), MA.  Built a home, got a great job at IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) for 13 years, becoming a Senior Manager, raised my two boys through the school years, their sports and proms.  Matt went to Cape Cod Community College and John went to the University of Massachusetts.  Went to work for 10 years at Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod working for the CEO and Board of Directors; “Clerk of the Works” for the McCarthy Hospice House in Sandwich.

In 1989 I got re-married to my current hubby, Walter, who worked for 37 years as a police officer in Harwich.  At that time, between the two of us, we had 3 children and 3 grandchildren.

My son John graduated college and moved to Charleston, SC.  Tragedy struck in 1995 when John fell from a ladder and died at the age of 26.

My son Matt married in 1999 and in 2004 our “million dollar miracle grandbaby” was born … Memphis Blu … born at 1 lb 13 ozs.  What a tough little guy … today he’s doing great and is such a joy.

Walter retired and in 2003 we decided to move to Florida, where we discovered this FABULOUS place called The Villages … a 55+ active adult retirement community.  We built our home, bought a golf cart, golf clubs, and plan to stay forever!!!  This is the best place to live … golf on the 30+ executive golf courses is “free” (and 6 more courses are planned for beyond 466A) … or we can play on any of the 9 championship golf courses (and 4 more championship courses are planned for beyond 466A).  Walter loves billiards and even teaches it.  We can go to over 50 swimming pools, join any of the 1800 clubs, go to one of the two town squares (and a third town square ... Brownwood ... is in the works beyond 466A) in our golf cart to enjoy music and dancing nightly (yup, 365 days a year), go to the Community Recreation Centers or the Regional Recreation Centers.  There is so much more to say about this wonderful community, but the best part of living in The Villages, Florida is the SUNSHINE almost every single day.  Does wonders for the soul!

When we first arrived at The Villages I got a job as the Volunteer Coordinator for Hospice of Lake & Sumter (now called Cornerstone Hospice).  I am now on the Board of Directors for "Villagers for Hospice", the fund-raising arm for our hospice here in The Villages.  I worked for The Villages as a Guest Coordinator (inside sales); then I decided to get into real estate sales … and the rest is history.  I LOVE people and houses, so selling real estate is just the right “job” for me.  I'm here to help you find your "dream home" and to assist you in any way possible ... call me!
